A project regroups under one entity, some elements for which we want to manage common activities, costing and shipment information.
Style project, regrouping styles (habitually, one), for pre-production activities management.
Production project, regrouping one or more cutting slips, in order to manage activities and cost link to this production
Imports project, similar to production project, but this time, for BUY products, and linked to Purchase Orders, instead of Cutting slips. For this kind of project, we habitually deal with Shipment (Container).
Type: The project type, as described above.
Number: The unique project number. Can be auto-numbered.
Description: The project description.
Creation date: The creation date of the project. The project's starting date is calculated from the activities. Not to be mistaken.
Season: The project's season.
Division: the project's division.
Supplier: The supplier of the project.
Automatically adjusted from current activity: The supplier is automatically adjusted when the project's steps are opened and completed.
Entered manually: The project is linked to one supplier at a time, no matter it's activity contents.

Alerter enabled: Indicate if the project should raise alerts or not.

Wildcards are enabled on project number, activity code, product code, username and supplier code.
This function allows you to create a new project.
You can enter a single supplier or let the project change its supplier based on the current steps.
Use this feature to change the project header, including the project forced supplier.
This feature deletes a project that never started.
Two reports are available under the project management section. Select the desired parameters and press on print.
This report display the detailed or summarised activities for a given time period. All planned or actual activities for this period will be displayed in the report, sorted as desired.
This report shows the estimated project associated costs.
This feature allows modification on a selection or on all existing projects. You can modify the project or alerter state .
The visualisation screen allows you a quick look at the project. This is also where you modify notes or files attached to a project.
This is a presentation of the project general header. It also display the current step and the planned and actual start and finish.
This section, available only on import project, display the import header.
Activities are the actual project content. They are ordered by steps, containing each a single activity.
The are four activity status:
Opened: Not yet started
Current: Started but not yet finished.
Completed: Finished, but followed by an uncompleted step or last step of the project.
Closed: Finished and followed by a completed or another closed step.
The activity list is displayed depending on the choices offered in the drop-down lists of he activity header. This selection indicates the level of detail you want displayed.
When trying to regroup the items to match your selection, if a group contains different planned or actual dates, then the regrouping is not possible.
This feature adds a new activity or step.
By default, the suggested step is a new step, but you can insert the new activity anywhere in the project, as long as the started steps are not modified.
If you insert into an existing step and the step contains the same activity as you are inserting, the two steps will be merged.
If you insert into an existing step and the step does not contains the same activity, the steps will be inserted and all existing steps will be moved.
When you enter an activity code, the activity default values are automatically entered. You also need to enter style information, costing and time information.
Note that the time is recalculated to match the date provided. If you calculate the finish date from a time period, make sure to use the "Recalculate finish date" feature. If you do not do so, the entered time will be lost.
You can, when adding an activity, recalculate the planned dates of the steps previous or after your addition, when any. This calculation will take into consideration the planned start and end dates of the new step.
Use this feature to add all the activities linked to the styles included in a cutting slip.
Use this feature to add all the activities linked to the styles included in a purchase order.
This feature allows edition on a group of activities or on a single activities.
On a group of activities: Only the planned and actual dates are modifiable, depending on the activity status.
On a single activity: All the information is displayed. The information is similar to the add activity function.
You can also trigger a recalculation of the dates of the previous and next steps. Refer to the add activity for further details.
Note that to start a project, you edit it's first step and set an actual start.
Available on current activities, this step complete the activity based on the planned time and on the actual start date and set the following step (if any) as current. If requested bu the completed step, the system may change the style's workflow status. Likely, if the next step required a notification to be sent and notifications are set (see dashboard), the system may send alerts or messages.
This function allows you to remove an activity or a group of activities from the project. This function is available only if the selected activities has not started
This function recalculates all the dates of the project, based on the planned or actual dates. It affects all the opened or current activities, even if not selected.
You can add, remove or change a note or file attached to a project.
