The catalog is where you can present your products. The catalog traffic is near 100% of the log in users since most users log directly into the catalog. The main accounts that log into the catalog include principally the internal users, the customers and the sales representatives.
The log in user can navigate through the catalog with the left tree menu (if enabled) or make a quick search in the catalog to find the requested information.
The quick search feature returns all the items where your search keyword(s) are included in the product name or code. If it is enabled, you can also enter a valid UPC or 128B bar code in the quick search to display the matching item.
Below the quick search feature, you can view (if enabled) the last products that you viewed. The recently viewed items are cleaned each time a user log ins.
The catalog can be used in two different ways.
Internal users: The catalog is linked to your product search results. The quick search feature does not modify your search results, but still allows you to search within your catalog.
External users: The catalog always displays the items that are defined as catalog aware, no matter the product search results.
The catalog navigation, look and feel can be completely customised.
