Cutting slips define the production step for the products you make. This is where you issue your cut and reserve your fabrics and components.
Number: The unique cutting slips identifier.
Description: Optional description.
Work order number: A number identifying the work order for many cutting slips.
Summary number: A number that allows you to group different cutting slips.
Comments: Cutting slips comments.
Product: The product that is issued for cut.
Alerter enabled: Indicate if the cutting slip should raise alerts or not.
Status: The status of the cutting slip: on hold, confirmed, cancelled.
State: The state of the cutting slip: opened, closed.
Date: the cutting slip date.
Contractor: The optional cutting slip contractor.
Wildcards are enabled on cutting slip number, summary number, work order number and product code.
Create a new cutting slip manually. You will be able to add only over cuts. To include required items, use Analysis instead.
This screen allows you to analyze and create your cutting slips. You can create new work orders, summaries or append the new cutting slips to existing work orders or summaries.
The search panel let you discriminate the items you want to create. You can search on company-related information, order-related information, product-related information, fabric-related information or component-related information.
All text fields support the wild card search.
You can view the grouping items such as order and low inventory. You can select or un-select the group by using the checkbox.
On a group selection, you can view all the items associated with this group. You can select or un-select individual items. Only the selected items will be generated in new cutting slips.
Use this button to calculate the fabrics requirement for your selection and your product quantities. On a change of selection, use this option to refresh the interface.
You can view all the fabrics that are required by your selection. Their inventory can be easily accessed by the link at the end of the requirement line to allow you a proper analysis. Modify your selection if you want to adjust your fabric requirements.
You can view all the products included in your selection. You can analyze your needs further by using the link to their inventory. Modify your selection if you want to adjust your products.
Enter a work order number (if needed). By default, a new number is issued, but you can recall the last auto number used by the system.
Enter a summary number (if needed). By default, no summary is selected.
You can set your default fabric shades, if a default shade exists.
If the shade is set, you can also reserve the fabrics:

No reservation.
Upon creation, you will be redirected to the fabric requirement page if you have unreserved fabrics or to the search page, if all your fabrics are reserved.
This is where you can change the cutting slip basic information. You can modify the number, the work order, summary, add comments, change the date, state contractor and possibly even the product. To add or remove cutting slip quantities, use the available features of the view screen.
This function allows you to delete a manual cutting slip that has never been used. If you can’t delete it, change it’s status to cancelled and inactivate it in edition.
Use this screen to confirm, cancel or put on hold one or more cutting slip.
A cancelled cutting slip is in a final state.
To confirm a cutting slip, all the fabric must be shaded and reserved.
To hold a confirmed cutting slip, all the items must be available in the proper inventory category (in required) and must include no reception.
To cancel a cutting slip, all the items must be in the proper inventory category and must include no reception.
Product, fabric and component inventories will be adjusted.
Cancelling a cutting slip does not remove added components from inventory (as needed).
Use this page to print one or more cutting slips.
Select the desired file format and print.
You can print 10 cutting slips per file, unless you have the “one cutting slip per file” option selected.
You can export cutting slip(s) bar code information in up to 3 formats (if they are selected in the preferences).
You can optionally add quantities to the bar codes.
You can also export a column header.
Export one cutting slip bar code per selected cutting slip, unless specified otherwise.
Export the product bar code information in a 128B format.
Export the product bar code information in a UPC format, if the format is available. Optionally, you can export readable information.
This option allows you to export a EAN-13 bar code. Products that do not possess EAN-13 code will have a new code assigned. Optionally, you can export the readable information. Company prefix number is entered in the administration menu. If the format is not available from the administration menu, this item will not appear.
Use this report to collate cutting slips by the summary number and product. This will display the needed fabrics and components by color sets.
Empty summaries will be printed individually.
Use the “Gather product colors and quantities by fabric” option to regroup the product colors that possess the same fabric requirements.
This report indicates the expected receptions of the selected cutting slips. You can select the sorting of the report. The date calculation uses the default system calendar.
This report display the duration and cost of cutting slips. It uses the default system calendar to calculate the duration.
You can select your file format.
Use this page to activate, inactive, enable the alerter or disable the alerter on the selected cutting slips.
Inactivating the old cutting slips will improve your system performances.
The cutting slip visualisation let you see the information related to the cutting slip and also allows you functions that are described below.
This section indicates, by color, the number of items included in the cutting slip.
You can issue a reception on an un-received confirmed cutting slip. By selecting this option, you will be able to enter the quantities received for each size of your product. You can indicate the priority of reception, for values below the original issued quantities.
By customer priority, if the customers for this color possess different priorities.
By shipping date (or repeat date)
By cancellation date (or repeat date)
The reception will be applied on all the items of this color that are not already received.
If you select the “return missing to required” option, missing product quantities will return to the required category.
Missing quantities are the quantities not received.
Rejected quantities do not affect the missing quantities count.
You can cancel the reception on a color. For all received item in this color who are still available in inventory (either in required, stock or stock reserved), the reception will be cancelled.
If the quantities are no longer available, the reception will still apply.
You can issue an over cut at color level. If you have a selected color, the default over cut will be for this color, but you can at any time change your color for a valid product color, even if it is not already included in the cutting slip.

Quantities will be calculated on demand, using the breakdown in the cutting slip. When no breakdown is available (for a new color, for example), the amount is divided evenly between sizes. Decimals are rounded down.
To issue an undercut at color level, you have to enter your cut quantities. The missing quantities will be removed in the items at the specified priority. The priority is similar to the reception, but over cut quantities are removed first.
This is where you can view the detailed cutting slip content, including the customers, orders and repeat information.
You can enter your item received quantities. A portion of the reception can be differed to a future reception. Items not differed and not received are either returned to required, or removed from inventory, at the user choice.
If the warehousing is enabled, you can indicate into which bin you receive the goods.
If all the quantities are still available in inventory, at the original categories (required, stock, stock reserved, other), you can cancel a reception.
You can create a new over cut by entering the cut quantities. The usage is similar to the over cut at color level.
You can reduce your cut quantities (or set them to their previous state), by entering your issued amount here. Missing quantities will be returned to required upon cutting slip confirmation.
Use this option to change the item description.
Use this option to delete an over cut line. Required lines cannot be deleted once placed in a cutting slip. Use an undercut instead.
You can view or modify the fabric requirements that were generated with the cutting slip. The analysis can automatically set the shading and reserve the fabrics for you.
Set the shade for a fabric. The proposed shade will be the default shade, if any.
Cancel the shading for an unreserved fabric.
Reserve the selected fabric for this cutting slip.
Cancel the selected fabric reservation for this cutting slip.
You can add, remove or change a note attached to a cutting slip.
Use this menu to receive all the items in the valid cutting slips of your selection.
This screen allows you to view and change the fabric shading and reservation for all the holded cutting slips in your selection. The fabric quantities of the cutting slips in other status will not be displayed.
Use this function to indicate the needs or to cancel the needs of the component who have an “as needed” management type.
The modification applies on your selection. If you have at least one cutting slip with component to add, the page will add the component requirement to the inventory. If all components requirement are already added, the page will remove the requirements that are still available.
