Packing lists are the actual shipment information and description that you send to your customers.
Packing list number: This is a unique packing list identifier
Description: An optional packing list description
Company: The Company that receives the packing list.
Season: The packing list season.
Division: The packing list division.
Reference: A reference that will be transmitted to the invoicing.
Status: The current packing list status.
Alerter enabled: Indicate if the packing list should raise alerts or not.
Date: The packing list effective date.
Shipping date: The expected shipping date. On confirmation, this date can be updated automatically.
Shipment: The shipment method.
Bill of lading: The optional bill of lading number.
Weight: The optional weight of the shipment.
Shipment amount: The price to change for the shipment.
Tax group for shipping: The tax that applies on this shipment (optional).
Notes: Custom notes for this packing list.
Wildcards are enabled on the number, company code, product code and color.
This function allows you to create a new packing list.
The packing list analysis allows you to create multiple holded packing lists or to add items to existing packing lists with a few clicks.
Select the desired analysis parameters. If you want to exclude a category of sources (orders, repeats or direct stock allocation), unselect it using the checkbox.
Note: you need at least one source.
You can enter dates. Either enter a specific period or enter a start or end date.
You can enter also a customer code, currency or a ready to ship amount. The amount is calculated by the items in stock reserved.
The order completion and readiness are calculated with all items. A fully completed order will always appear even if its readiness is below the requested percentage.
Select the desired customers, orders/repeats/direct stock, items with the checkboxes next to them. If you select a customer, an order, repeat or stock reservation, the sub-items will be displayed and you will be able to modify your selection.
When your selection is complete, check the “Append to existing holded packing lists” option if you want to minimize the created packing lists by merging the selected items in existing packing lists.
You can decide to flatten the item production sources. If an order item or a repeat has been produced in different cutting slips or purchase orders, you can merge the production information to create a single packing list entry for this item. Note that production information might be lost when you select this option.
Press Generate to continue.
The generated or modified packing lists will be available in the search results so you can review the packing lists or modify them. Note that no shipment amount has been included in the analysis.
A customer without default shipment terms and who possess only direct stock allocation will cause an error. Define the default terms of the customer and analyze again. Note: the successfully created packing lists will not need to be reanalyzed.
This function allows you to modify the packing list header information. The items are modified within the view screen or within the analysis function.
This function deletes a packing list that has never been used and that never contained items. If you cannot delete a packing list, use the edition function instead to inactivate it.
To be invoiced a packing list must be confirmed. You can change the status on one or more packing lists (from the search results).
A packing list identified as on hold is a packing list ready to be shipped. In boxes ready for a pickup or delivery, if you prefer. You can modify the content of holded packing lists, add items and remove items.
A confirmed packing list is a when the shipment is sent. You can no longer modify the packing list content, save for item returns.
You can cancel a packing list if the items are not already invoiced. If some items has been invoiced, make you can cancel or delete the appropriate invoices.
Use this function to print one or more packing lists. You can, optionally, print 10 packing lists in one file for faster printing.
You can export the packing list(s) in various file formats, if they are enabled in your system.
Export one packing list bar code per selected packing list, unless specified otherwise.
Export the product bar code information in a 128B format.
Export the products bar code information in a UPC format. Optionally, you can export readable information.
Export the packing list to the UPS Connect Canada file format. This file can be entered in their system to automatically fill the packing list information.
The packing list report displays all the items that are waiting to be included in packing lists. Select your parameters if you do not want to display all the items.
The packing list batch allows you to update many packing lists at once.
The packing list visualisation allows you a quick look at the packing list. This is also where you manipulate the items, or modify notes attached to this packing list.
This is the actual packing list content.
If you select the add items button, you will be taken to a page where you will be able to see and select all the current available items for this customer.
Select the items you want to include in the packing list by checking the check box next to its line.
Unavailable items will be displayed with a grey checkbox.
When your selection is done, click on add.
If you want to override the packing list shipment method by a different method (found in an order or a repeat), select the checkbox next to the add button.

This feature allows you to add items that have not been included in a customer order. You can add items that have available stock with this function.
The item added are moved from the stock to the picked category.
You can decide to flatten a stock item. If the "merge different sources" option is selected, all the quantities will appear and will be available for a single reservation. Note that using this option will possibly remove the cutting slip or purchase order information from your stock.
If the warehousing is enabled on your system, you have to select the source bin for the reservation. To combine multiple bins, you have to manually go to the product inventory.
If the versioning is enabled on your system, you must enter a stand-alone product code or a master product code. All version (if any) of the entered product will then be displayed for your choosing.
This option is the same as “add stock item”, but it allows you to enter items from a valid bar code format. When you select this option, a box will appear and you will be able to enter the bar codes within. If you do other manipulations in the page and wants to resume your bar code input, be sure to select this box and go to the end of the already entered codes (Ctrl-End).
When the bar codes are entered, click on the validate button to validate your input. All the missing quantities, invalid bar code format, or numbers will be displayed.
After the validation, if you have any valid item, you can select the save option to add the valid items to the packing list.
Bar codes entered between the validation and the save will not be taken into consideration.
If the warehousing is enabled, you must propose a default bin where to fetch the quantities. Quantities from other bins will be displayed in orange, but will be accepted. Before saving, note the bins where the inventory is taken.
The items are now moved from the stock to the picked category.
You can modify with this option the discount entered previously in the orders or repeats.
Use this function to remove an item from this packing list, keeping it reserved for this customer. The item will be possibly added later in another packing list.
Use this function to remove and un-reserve an item. Items unreserved will return in stock and will be available to other customers.
Validate packing list with bar codes
Use this function to compare the logical and physical packing list content. Like the “add stock items with bar code”, a box will appears with the same comportment. Scan the packing list items into the box.
Once the items are entered, select the validate button to compare the packing list items with the scanned items. Any missing or extra quantities will be displayed.
Use this function in a confirmed packing list when the customer returns all the packing list content. The items will return into your stock, available for another customer.
If the warehousing is enabled, the quantities will be returned to the items original bins.
Use this function when a customer returns only a partial packing list or when you must make returns to the other category.
If the warehousing is enabled, you can return the quantities to a specific bin. Simply enter the bin's name and all the quantities will be moved accordingly.
This function cancels the item return when the items are still available in inventory for cancellation.
This function is similar to when you confirm packing lists. You can generate invoices for your packing list or your packing list selection.
This function is available on a single packing list selection. You can convert a packing list to a credit note when the confirmed packing list contains returned items that have not been already credited. It is impossible to use this function if no original invoice has been generated or if the invoice is not confirmed and exported to an accounting system.
If you have multiple invoices linked to this packing list, you can select the original one from the available list. You can decide to include the items that have already been invoiced or not. Note: if you are unsure, you can always verify and modify the credited items within the credit note.
